As we went over the text again we all came upon a quote that was quite important. “ A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.” In other word or in mine in this case to me it really just means that (I feel like I have done a great job making my brother proud of me. Since the beginning of football he’s been inspired in me even tho he had his years I still see his love for the game and how he acts)

“Nothing is sacred but the integrity of your own mind.” This topic is the kind of topic people need to understand. People should live by that topic mostly in this messed up era where people just want to look good. People will say your one thing but I’m reality your not. People say your mean or the devils child well it doesn’t matter to you cause you know it’s not true but if that’s the mindset people are giving you all you have to do is smile and wave. Your own mindset is the important part let’s say you want to do something good for some one you have to do what is needed not what you think is right.

As we talked about the essay we came across this question. What makes kids courageous and adults so scared. There could be different answers to that. But from what I’ve heard today our judgments doesn’t really matter

My first impression was pretty straight forward. The guys writes about how being yourself can change everything. It talked about how being yourself is a good thing to do. This motivates me to just be what I want to be known as.

The road not taken

Let me walk you through a pedestrian

As I begin to explain the story by Ray Bradbury I will explain the different types of tones he used and I will explain the theme. He uses tone to express himself throughout the story.

In the story Leonard  Mead was a lonely man that liked to walk to get air and to see. He used emotional words compared things. As he walked in the sidewalk he was upset there was no one to talk to. Ray Bradbury the author, wanted to express sadness and anger. He made this character lonely with no one to talk and all he does is walk around to see and get air. No one was around him representing lonelyness and depression. This character is being represented by Bradbury.

Different types of tones is being used. Sighs, here and there describing stress sadness and anger all in the same time. Even the character describes himself lonely talking about how there’s no one there for him no friends. We all know when the character used a different type of style of expressing himself. The adjectives being used clearly helps readers know what type of story it is.

The plot In the story is very simple. I’m going to begin by saying this maybe I’m wrong maybe I’m not but the author is expressing himself and putting his perspective into the character. The character Leonard is being described as a lonely guy with no one around and maybe that’s how the author really feels. Throughout the story he talks about how all he does is walk around to see and to breathe the fresh air. Then suddenly a cop car pulls up and detains the character. During that time anger was being used. Sooner or later the pedestrian Leonard Mead was arrested sitting in a jail cell.

Story of my life

I remember this one day where everything was going so good. It was on a warm Friday when this day gave me and my friends hope. I’m in a football team and Fridays is our game day. It was our first game and we were nervous. The team we were up against was a solid team but we were ready. As the time came closer to the game the team was mentally prepared ready to give it to them. Once time was up we got ready and warmed up and headed to the field. As we played we were down by 21 we were holding up the offense for a good while in the first half. Second half we scored. Everybody thought we were coming back everyone was on their feet everyone felt good about this game. Sooner or later our defense got tired they were letting the opponent score like nothing. It felt like defense had given up and this has been something we were not expecting. It was a good warm day everyone should have been prepared but giving up as a team was just a shame. This story wasn’t like those happy endings as you can see.

10. Open-source- denoting software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified.

The value of my time

Today we could’ve talked more about our futures and the things were doing right now to make sure it happens. It could’ve all gone good but to be honest I’m disappointed with myself as I’m pretty sure everyone else in my class is.  I haven’t been putting time in my blogs , resume and even other upcoming things. I haven’t been putting the time I wish I had been. I could make some really good excuses but none of that could really help. This is just me feeling sorry for myself. So point is I haven’t been putting time to do my work.

Invest in me

Im goma start saving up my money by having a small job. I will not waste the money if necessary I have a idea on how much I want to save. I feel that with the money it could be used for important things.

Literature analysis #2

I have noticed the author has been using a lot more metaphors to compare the characters. He describes the characters actions and personified different objects to give a descript example of it. The theme was mainly comedy with the humorous words.

     I just had a quick simple question. How do we find out what algebra was or any math what if he or she was just bored and decided to just make numbers in puzzles and discover that if you divide or subtract or add numbers you’ll get a answer. How did he or she know it was right. Who in the world was able to say it’s right? We could all discover a new type of math to get some answer we just have to be able to find the right puzzle or distribution of numbers.

Leaving his hometown. He was wondering in the forest where he said to himself he will return back. When he was walking he saw his wife faith. She was next to a church with the devil.

First impression of a dream

To be honest it kind of reminded me about our journals not too much but it did. At first I didn’t really understand it and still kind of don’t. But I feel like it talks about dreams either being true or not.

Time investment portfolio pt.2

So today I was mainly selling and giving my time. I was able to wake up and go to school on time and begin giving my time till the end of school, which is from 7:30AM to 2:55 PM. After that I had football practice for about 2-3 hours. Although I didn’t practice I managed to sell and give time such as my focus. After than I decided to pass time with my friends and go out to eat. I passed about a hour or so eating and collaborating.

My thesis statement

To start a essay I do need help on the print. I’m the type that had to see the question ir the motive to right a essay on. I could right all day about a topic but I need someone to tell me and break it down to me or I’ll lose myself. I feel like it also helps other students with the same thing and I say it’s also better so that just in case some one reads it and takes it different there’ll be two different perspective on the prompt or topic.

Young Goodman Brown

1. I think he wrote this to make sure people wake up and question themselves if it’s a dream they’re living or not.
2. I feel like at times the name “faith” did apply to the wife but then it wasn’t. As the story went on I really didn’t understand what was happening but I feel that Goodman did have faith in his wife. It also fits her personality because she seemed a nice caring person and religious.
3. I want to say the pink ribbons signified like something to protect her from harm or a symbol of a religious object.
4. In my opinion I feel .it was conjured by evil because he had the snake repressing the devil or evil talking to him. Making Goodman second guess his journey.
5. I have a feeling the old man was a resemblance of himself
6. I feel that the staff is his motivated to not use it and instead he uses his mind and conscience to motivate him.
7. I feel that if he stayed home things would be different he’s still have faith in everything without second guessing himself.

Time investment portfolio

So we had a talk not that long ago about how we manage our time. How much we are spending, selling, giving and passing. While I thought I had all the time in the world I’ve come to notice that it’s all a myth. I’ve noticed I have been selling most of my time in school and football practice. In total it’s is 11 hours. To think about it I’m selling and giving time at the same damn time, school is where I reward myself with grades the outcome is depending on me selling the time to accomplish my goals, same goes for football practice the amount of time I spend is how much I get better. Now after that the only time i get is up to me. So what I do is spend my time doing homework and after that I pass time sleeping and recovering from a stressful day. That is how I’ve been managing time.

Literature analysis

So one thing that I observed was that the theme changes from comic to suspense. I could tell by the word choice that it is explaining humorous moments in the diary. The words describe the situation and it tells me how bad it was. The characters in the book share the same goofy characterizations. They act childish and are full of mean jokes.

The medium is the message

The Chanel’s that I prefer to communicate it depends. If it’s something important and personal it’s gotta be in person no doubt about it. But if it’s buisness like or anything like that I would mind texting. I wouldn’t want anyone knowing what is going on with my life and hack any accounts and find out. I just prefer everything being secure and safe without worrying about people hacking me .

First of all the type of vocabulary in the paragraphs were way out of my intelligence. I heard words i never even heard. I really didn’t understand most of the time but I’m pretty sure it has something to say wether helping or not.

For the win

so one of the few things that I do good in is writing in my journal and being able to post all my thoughts about a subject on both my journal and blogs. I feel like I write a good amount of sentences with good examples or details.

I ain’t got time for this

So to begin I really need time to be able to my work. Wether that’d be homework class work or anything else. I didn’t really understand the question or what to post so if this doesn’t come out the way you’d want to be I apologize. But I feel that with work you need time, time has a powerful property and it causes us to work better.

to be honest I thought that myth was gonna be like one of those that gives out a message about taking care of our animals because they’re part of earth. But then I started hearing what they were saying and I thought to myself if it was gonna be a little kid story but to find out it’s a myth grown ups have used to pass on it’s quite surprising.

Today I was thinking

So today I was truly just thinking about my messed up back. I can’t do the things I want as a football player I can’t sprint or run to my full motion but today I heard some interesting things. I heard about mindful Monday and I really liked the idea. It made class a little more fun.

I care about your understanding

So today I need for anyone to understand me . I’m a student athlete that plays football. I’m just going to begin with that but being a students athlete there are lots of stress such as making sure you do your work, maintain a 2.0 gpa, and the worst of all finishing homework after a long day. I have to worry about doing my homework after school when all I want to think about is shower and eat and go to sleep. I don’t get that option sometimes so whenever I do my work I make sure I’m not just writing any nonsense. It’s hard having a weak hungry body after football practice so having to do homework just doesn’t help. I just want people to understand that ima stressed kid right now working my butt off as much as I can.

The making of an essay

When a essay was due throughout the week I’ve had very good experiences and bad ones. I’ve been able to write things down and brainstorm as I go, but recently things haven’t been like that. I’ve had teachers give me topics on what to write on. I do as I’m told but if it does not make sense to me I struggle bad. I write nonsense and it doesn’t match. I’ve had bad times but when it is good I tend to overwrite it.

How I read

Well when I was a kid reading was something nerds would do . However I had to read pretty much all of my life due to teachers giving us questions and we had to answer them off from a book. Now back then I would just skim the text to find the answer so to be fair I never would read the book . And I feel like that has really affected me with being interested with books. Now don’t get me wrong I know how to read great  but I just never had that good experience.

HACK TO SCHOOL

so today we had back to school night. The question was am I gonna go and I replied with a big fat no. The reasons why I didn’t go was because I play football and had practice right after school. Now if I didn’t have football in the way would I still go ? No not really because if my parents were interested I would know how to explain each and every class.

Communication strategies of a hacker

To be really honest when we were going over the communication strategies of a hack I really didn’t understand most of the message. Yes I did hear the words diction , syntax and tone. Did I understand what they meant not really but to be fair I will say that they use tone as to learn how or what something says or feels.

CONSCIENCE OF A HACKER

The fact the he writes about the different kinds of conscience from different objects or people is scary because they really do think like that. Many people have also mention to me that I’m like everyone else. Everyone else has that mindset as well, take a look at the girls they say every guys is the same well it’s the same thing the script was about. But in the end it’s all what you think and it’s you that makes it different.

The right of your own opinion

When I first saw this novel I thought we were gonna talk about simple stuff that we use in our day. We say we have the right to have freedom of speech but from what I read we really don’t. Yeah we could say what we want but in reality we can’t because we could be mistaken for trying to threaten someone.

The Socratic method

I feel like the Socratic method is a very good way for students to finally have their brains open to this society. I feel like if students ask question it will encourage students to ask more and know what they’re learning. But in other people’s perspective it may cause disrespect which I totally disagree with because being open minded helps people have different perspectives on things and know different truths.

YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION

I say readers are not entitled to their opinion because they keep searching for truth. They are too afraid to speak what’s on theirs mind and they don’t want to be wrong so they argue about topics hoping they’re right. Which is something that I would most probably do. I want to be right but then if I hear something totally different I will have to listen to other opinions and in that case I’ll decide if I’m right or not.

Strategies to memorize things

one one the strategies that I used was repetition. I kept saying it out loud to myself and hear myself make a rhythm. I tried to change my tone and memorize it that way. It was hard at first but I soon got it .
